Felonies

The following people were booked into the Lee County-Tupelo Adult Jail in connection with felony charges ending Monday at 11 a.m.

Gregory V. Baker Jr., 42, of Saltillo, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, sale of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine.

Ronald C. Carmon, 31, of Walnut, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, capias for shoplifting.

Richard Allen Carr, 43, of Tupelo, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, capias for false pretense.

Karlton Flemings, 41, of Tupelo, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, capias for aggravated trafficking of a controlled substance, possession of hydrocodone.

Frederick Lee Holmes, 41, of Olive Branch, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, possession of a Schedule II drug.

Coreno Pruitt, 25, of Belden, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, capias for kidnapping.

Brent W. Stanford, 22, of Saltillo, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, grand larceny.

The following reports were filed Monday by the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

A Mitchell Road woman said someone entered her possibly unlocked car during the night and stole her backpack. Nothing else was stolen, but papers were strewn around the cabin.

A Winfield Drive, Tupelo, woman said for about a month, someone has been getting into her garage and stealing supplies she uses to renovate the house. The thief has stolen 12 boxes of flooring, two utility fans and a pressure washer. She said she has been leaving the garage door unlocked.

An Oak Lane, Tupelo, man said someone stole his Smith & Wesson revolver from his car. He said the 2011 Chevy Malibu was parked under his carport at the time and that the car may have been unlocked.

A Shannon man said someone cut the locks off a trailer at a Drive 138 Shannon work site and stole a planer, four drills, six nail guns, an air compressor, three routers, three palm sanders, a circular saw, two levels, three hammers, a paint sprayer and a router table.

A Saltillo man was driving down the Natchez Trace around 2:30 a.m. and saw a suspicious black bag — possibly a garbage bag — in the middle of the road. He pulled over and called 911. Deputies responded and found the bag was empty. The bag was removed from the roadway.
