Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) made it clear Wednesday that he has beef with Vice President Kamala Harris over a nonexistent ban cooked up on Fox News.

“Her record is extraordinarily radical. Let me say at the outset, Kamala can’t have my guns, she can’t have my gasoline engine and she sure as hell can’t have my steaks and cheeseburgers,” Cruz told Fox News’ Sean Hannity.

Hannity, who hasusedhisshow to falsely claim the Biden administration is trying to take Americans’ red meat, joined Cruz in attacking Harris. (The vice president has previously signaled her support for changing dietary guidelines to recommend decreasing consumption).

An account on X (formerly Twitter) linked to the Republican National Committee and the Trump campaign shared a 2019 clip of the now-presumptive Democratic nominee that claimed she wished to ban “CERTAIN BEHAVIORS, like eating red meat.”

Social media users couldn’t help but roast Cruz for pushing false food claims.
