CT man, 26, man dies after suffering from multiple apparent stab wounds

A 26-year-old Connecticut man has died after suffering from several apparent stab wounds, police said.

New Haven police officers responded to the emergency room of Yale New Haven Hospital on Saturday afternoon around 2:12 p.m. for a stabbing victim who arrived in a private vehicle, New Haven police said in a statement.

Responding officers set up a crime scene at the main entrance of the hospital where the vehicle was left and determined that the assault occurred on Orchard Street. As officers were securing the scene, a caller reported that there was blood on the walkway and fence of an address in the area of Orchard and Henry streets, police said. Additional officers responded to that location and established another crime scene, police said.

Police ask that anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information to call detectives at 203-946-6304 or through the department’s anonymous tip-line at 866-888-TIPS (8477).
