Tampa motorcyclist killed in crash off I-75 in Riverview

RIVERVIEW, Fla. (WFLA) — Hillsborough County deputies responded to a deadly motorcycle crash Sunday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol said a 59-year-old Gibsonton woman drove her Nissan Frontier was entering Gibsonton Drive from the I-75 exit when she failed to yield to a motorcyclist approaching the ramp.

Multiple explosions reported in Hernando County fire

The motorcyclist, described as a 29-year-old Tampa man, was killed at the scene of the crash. Troopers said the woman suffered minor injuries.

According to an HCSO social media post, the northbound lanes at exit 250 and the eastbound lanes of Gibsonton Drive have been closed. Drivers are asked to find alternate routes.
