Police calling man’s death at Wichita park a ‘medical emergency’

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita police released new details in a man’s death in northeast Wichita on Thursday morning. It happened around 7 a.m. at 15th and Vassar, at the corner of Fairmount Park. A citizen discovered the man and reported it to 911.

At a morning briefing, police told KSN News that they were investigating a man’s deadly shooting; however, in a later news release, police said that the man died from a “medical emergency.”

Court documents reveal suspect admitted responsibility for death of missing Kansas women

Police have identified the man as 54-year-old Timothy Dukes. He was found lying on the northeast corner of the intersection in Fairmount Park.

A large section of the park was cordoned off during the investigation.
