Democratic VP pick Tim Walz to visit Colorado
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is kicking off a fundraising tour and one of his stops includes Colorado.
Once Vice President Kamala Harris was officially decided as the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee, she in turn chose the current Minnesota governor as her vice president and running mate.

Now, in his first solo Harris-Walz campaign event, Walz will start a slew of campaign stops in Los Angeles, delivering remarks at the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees 2024 convention.
Beyond his visit to California, Walz's cross-country campaign include stops in Colorado, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York, according to a news release sent to the Coloradoan. On Aug. 14, Walz will deliver remarks at a Harris-Walz campaign reception in Denver. The time and location were not disclosed.

Walz's visit comes just days after former President Donald Trump's fundraising dinner in Aspen where tickets cost up to $500,000.
