Denver police: Driver fled after 2-car crash caused serious injuries

DENVER (KDVR) — Denver police said northbound Colorado Boulevard was closed at around 10 p.m. on Sunday due to a two-car crash.

The Denver Police Department said officers were investigating a crash between two motorists that left one person with serious injuries in the area of East 18th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. Police said one driver fled the scene and the other was taken to a local hospital.

The agency said Colorado Boulevard was closed at 17th Avenue, and alternate routes were advised. The intersection borders a corner of Denver’s City Park and is close to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
