DENVER (KDVR) — Sunny skies dominate the Denver metro area Sunday along with breezy conditions, making for a beautiful day outdoors. Sunshine and warm air will continue into Monday for Memorial Day.

Weather today: Sunny skies, breezy

Skies will continue to clear Sunday morning, leading to plenty of sunshine. High temperatures this afternoon will top out in the middle to upper 70s. Winds will be out of the northwest anywhere from 10-20 mph with gusts up to 35mph.

Weather tonight: Clear skies and gusty winds

Sunday night will feature overnight lows in the middle to upper 40s under mostly clear skies. Winds will remain out of the northwest anywhere from 10-15 mph and gusts up to 25 mph.

Looking ahead: Sunny Memorial Day, warmer workweek

Sunshine dominates the forecast again on Memorial Day, which will help to boost high temperatures to the upper 70s.

The upcoming workweek will bring warmer temperatures in the 80s, and the slight chance for isolated thunderstorms each day. Strong storms could develop on Tuesday across SE Colorado, bringing heavy rain, gusty winds, thunder and lightning.
