Detour alert: Entrance ramp closure this weekend on Florida Turnpike

Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise has scheduled a weekend full closure of the northbound Florida’s Turnpike-State Road 91 entrance ramp from North Hancock Road for construction activities, Florida Department of Transportation press release said.

Traffic will be detoured away from the State Road 91 entrance ramp at North Hancock Road to OldHighway 50. Drivers are asked to travel west on Old Highway 50 to U.S. 27, and travel north on U.S. 27 to access northbound Florida’s Turnpike.

The detour will be in effect (weather permitting) from 10 p.m. Friday, June 28, to 5 a.m. on Monday, July 1,

The work is part of the Florida’s Turnpike/SR 91 widening project from Minneola/Hancock Road to north ofO’Brien Road. Check the FDOT website for updates or changes.
