Authorities say throughout the 4-hour standoff the man shot hundreds of times from a fully automatic weapon and when they later had an exchange of fire the man was shot and killed.

“We tried to get him to surrender and unfortunately he did not, and he engaged members of our SWAT team,” ASP Col. Mike Hagar said.

Officials say the man was a fugitive and wanted for multiple felony warrants in different counties from around the state.

Hagar said that it has been a lengthy investigation and they were not aware of his location until Wednesday night.

Special agents said the suspect was wanted on multiple felony warrants out of Little Rock, Sherwood and Pulaski County.

Carolyn Little said she can’t help but think of the suspect’s parents.

“It’s no happy ending either way because everyone loses in this situation.” Little said. “Some mother then lost her child and I know with everything going on every mother loves her baby and no mother wants to see their baby dead.”
