Trump conjures big daddies

Former President Donald Trump is not the problem.

He is the embodiment of people who, underneath their words and actions, are fearful of challenges to the belief that some people (white, cis gender, straight, “land-owning,” evangelical, and male) are the apex of a hierarchical society and culture.

They are "better than" so must govern and set cultural norms. They are to keep others in their place. They are the Big Daddy who will protect and set all things right.

Letters: Don't throw your vote away on Michelle Obama. The enemy is on the doors of the White House.

Consequently, they deserve more, and we must look up to them and obey them.
