Dora woman killed in Walker County crash

WALKER COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — A two-vehicle crash that occurred Friday afternoon left a Dora woman dead.

According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Melissa Parker, 42, was injured when the Toyota Tundra she was driving left the roadway and was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado around 12:35 p.m. Prior to impact, both vehicles left the roadway, which resulted in the crash. Parker was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger in the Chevrolet were transported to Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Jasper for treatment.

The crash occurred on Horse Creek Boulevard near Singleton Road, approximately one mile west of Dora, in Walker County. No further information is available as ALEA continues to investigate.
