Double homicide in Lincolnton, 3rd person on life support; suspect charged with murder

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two people are dead and a third is on life support following an overnight homicide in Lincolnton, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies responded to calls regarding the incident along Springs East Road. Two people were found inside the home and were pronounced dead.

A third person was found suffering from serious injuries and was transported to an area medical center where they are on life support, deputies said.

The sheriff’s office later confirmed Conway Cook, 32, of Lincolnton, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder. It is unclear at this time if the suspect was known to the victims.
