Doug Emhoff to campaign for Kamala Harris in MA, NH, includes stop with David Letterman
Doug Emhoff is coming to New England to campaign for his wife Kamala Harris.
Since President Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 presidential election and endorsed the vice president, Emhoff has scaled up his time on the campaign trail.
“Kamala Harris has united the party. She’s going to unite the country. She’s going to earn this nomination. You see that happening. And she’s going to win this election,” he told reporters last week.
If Harris wins this Election Day, that would mean that Emhoff would go from being the Second Gentleman of the United States to being the First Gentleman, instead.
He's set for New England this week.
When is Doug Emhoff going to be in MA?
Emhoff will be in Massachusetts on Monday, fundraising and campaigning for Harris.
Will he be fundraising with David Letterman?
Yes, Emhoff will be fundraising with David Letterman tonight.
The fundraiser, taking place on Martha's Vineyard, was supposed to be for Joe Biden re-election campaign, with Jill Biden attending and speaking. However, since Biden is no longer in the race, Emhoff will be attending and fundraising instead for Harris, the prospective nominee.
Biden transferred his campaign funds to Harris' presidential campaign, which was allowed due to Harris and Biden already sharing a campaign account, having run on the same ticket four years ago.
