Dozens treated for heat illnesses outside Donald Trump’s Harrisburg rally

HARRISBURG. Pa. (WHTM) — Dozens of people outside the Farm Show Complex who are waiting to attend former President Donald Trump’s rally Wednesday are being treated for heat exhaustion, officials said.

There are about 40 people at the complex, located at 2300 North Cameron Street, who are being treated by EMS and doctors for heat-related issues, a Harrisburg City spokesperson confirmed to abc27 in an email.

Those being treated are all in fair to good condition, the spokesperson stated, and no one has been taken to the hospital. The weather in Harrisburg on Wednesday was in the 90s.

The doors for Trump’s rally opened at 2 p.m. and he is expected to speak at 6 p.m.

Pennsylvania State Police issued an alert on X at 3:42 p.m., about all the parking lots at the complex being full. Travelers are being asked to try to avoid the area.
