What’s Driving You Crazy? – Keeping up with closures on the 95/515/I-11

LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) – You could be forgiven for not being able to keep up with the on-again, off-again lane restrictions on the seemingly-forever project on the 95/515/I-11.

Here’s the latest: after a slightly longer section of the freeway going down to one lane in each direction between 8 tonight and 5 tomorrow morning (between Eastern and Charleston), the rest of the week’s overnight work is a shorter stretch between Eastern and just northwest of Charleston, also between 8pm and 5 each following morning.

But, similar to the disclaimers you see in medicine commercials (like: “side-effects may include garage doors in pahrump randomly opening and closing”), the Nevada Dept of Transportation has a little fine print of its own: “Additional traffic control measures may include: lane shifts and/or temporary closures of ramps and side street closures.”

In other words, anything can happen – even after that big “substantial completion” which is still a month or so away.
