Early voting for Tuesday's general election ends Sunday in Palm Beach County

After 13 days, early voting for Tuesday's general election will wrap up Sunday in Palm Beach County.

Twenty-six early voting sites throughout the county will close at 7 p.m. Early voting began Oct. 21.

Registered voters who still hope to vote in person prior to Election Day can do so at any of the county's early voting sites. For a list, visit www.votepalmbeach.gov/Voters/Early-Voting.

There are no early voting sites in Palm Beach, so residents who want to vote early in person can visit the closest West Palm Beach locations at the Gaines Park Community Center at 1501 N. Australian Ave., or at the Main Library at 3650 Summit Blvd.

Voters must bring at least one valid form of identification that includes their signature and photo. Some acceptable forms of identification include a driver's license, a student ID, a U.S. passport, a Florida ID card, a military ID or a government-issued employee ID.

Vote-by-mail ballots can be returned at any early voting location during early voting hours, by mail using prepaid postage, or to one of the four supervisor of elections offices during office hours. The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot has passed.

Mail-in ballots also can be dropped off at early voting sites in “secure ballot intake stations," formerly known as drop boxes.

Voters can track the status of their vote-by-mail ballot using the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections’ My Status webpage at votepalmbeach.gov/Voters/My-Status, or by signing up for email, text message, or voice call alerts at the Vote Palm Beach Ballottrax website at votepalmbeach.ballottrax.net/voter/.

As of 5 p.m. Friday, 4,211 of the island's 7,659 registered voters already had cast their ballots, with 60% voting by mail. Turnout stood at 55%.

On Election Day, Town of Palm Beach voters can cast their ballots at the town's three polling locations — St. Edward Parish Hall at 165 N. County Road; the Mandel Recreation Center at 340 Seaview Ave.; and the South Fire-Rescue Station at 2185 S. Ocean Blvd.

Registered voters can find their precincts and assigned polling locations at the Supervisor of Elections’ Precinct Finder webpage at votepalmbeach.gov/Voters/Precinct-Finder.

It is not known whether former President Donald Trump plans to vote early. The Republican nominee for the White House voted early in 2020, though his wife, Melania, cast her ballot on Election Day.
