ATHENS, Texas (KETK) – U.S. House Representative Lance Gooden (R) held town halls with his District 5 constituents in Athens, Canton and Mineola on Thursday.

“I spend many of my days during the week up in the swamp with people who are disconnected from reality so its comforting to come home and talk to folks that tell me I am doing a good job and I am right because I am talking to Democrats across the aisle who tell me I’m crazy, who call us conspiracy theorists. It’s very nice and comforting to come home, talk to the people and realize we are doing the right thing,” Gooden said.
