ECSO investigating shooting death in homeless camp

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) – The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide at a homeless camp near Beggs Lane and North Palafox Street.

According to ECSO, deputies responded to the scene at around 10:40 a.m. on Saturday in reference to a shooting.

The victim, who has not been identified, suffered one fatal gunshot wound, according to ECSO.

No further details are known at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
