Election Day 2024: There's still time to register to vote. Here's how

Even on Election Day, it is not too late to register to vote in California.

Those eligible can register in person to vote through Nov. 5 using conditional voter registration or same-day registration.

Eligible voters fill out a ballot and a registration form at the same time. The ballot then returns to the elections office separately, so staff can review the information to verify the person is eligible to vote.

Dozens of vote centers already are open throughout the county. Locations, which include the county elections office, 800 S. Victoria Ave. in Ventura, will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Voters can check their registration status at registertovote.ca.gov/.
