WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Enter the wizarding world of Harry Potter in Connecticut this weekend.

The City of Waterbury and Mattatuck Museum are hosting a weekend-long “Harry Pottery Day” welcoming “witches, wizards and muggles alike” to revel in food, drink, arts and games.

8 Things to do this weekend

The event starts Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A map and Wizard Quest sheet can be picked up from Minuteman Press on Grand Street to help guide your adventure to more than 20 downtown “delights” and chances to win prizes.

Cyril the Sorcerer will perform at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the front lawn of the Silas Bronson Library, the area where vendors and community groups will gather.

On Saturday, the Mattatuck Museum will host from 1 to 5 p.m.

The second day will include a performance of “Once Upon a River,” a fairytale magic show by Cyril the Sorcerer, and other activities.

Tickets are needed for Saturday’s activities, but Friday is free. More information can be found on the Mattatuck Museum website.
