'Extremely dangerous tornado' prompts tornado warning for parts of Louisiana, NWS warns
Hurricane Beryl hit the U.S. early Monday morning, bringing with it heavy rain, life-threatening storm surge, and possible tornadoes across parts of east Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
Beryl became the earliest Category 4 storm and then the earliest Category 5 storm on record.
As Beryl shifts inland, the storm brings severe weather to parts of northwest Louisiana, including chances for a possible tornado.

Tornado warning issued for parts of northwest Louisiana
The National Weather Service confirmed a "large and extremely dangerous tornado" located near Benton and severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes in mostly rural areas of southeastern Webster, southwestern Claiborne and north central Bienville Parishes.
The weather service issued a tornado warning until 4:00 p.m. local time for the following parishes:
Bossier
Caddo
Natchitoches
Webster
Bienville
DeSoto
Claiborne
Red River
Clairborne

The weather service issued a tornado warning until 4:30 p.m. local time for the following parishes:

Claiborne
Bienville
