Fayette County Humane Society announces Code Red status

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — The Fayette County Humane Society is over capacity, which puts them into Code Red status.

According to a Facebook post made by the Fayette County Humane Society, due to there being more than 90 dogs at the shelter, with the main run being 18 dogs over capacity, the humane society cannot take in more dogs at this time.

As a result of being in Code Red, the humane society will have sponsored adoptions.

From Tuesday, July 23, 2024 through Saturday, July 27, 2024, all adoption fees for dogs at the Fayette County Humane Society will be sponsored.

The Fayette County Humane Society, located at 513 Shelter Road, Fayetteville, WV 25840, is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and can be contacted by phone at 304-574-2722.
