FedEx employee’s leg run over outside World Hub

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A FedEx employee’s leg was reportedly run over outside of the FedEx World Hub in February.

According to a report from the Memphis International Airport Police, officers responded to Republican Drive outside of the World Hub on February 18.

A FedEx security guard reportedly said an employee was trying to get an item off a dolly when she tripped and fell.

According to the police report, a tug driver pulled off, catching the employee’s leg under the dolly. The report states that the driver immediately stopped when he saw the employee under the dolly.

The employee went to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition. Tennessee OSHA started an inquiry into the accident.

FedEx released a statement on the accident, saying, “Our thoughts remain on the well-being of our team member. Safety is our top priority, and we continue to cooperate with the investigation.”

In November 2023, a FedEx employee died after a work-related accident at the World Hub. Memphis Police did not release specific details regarding the accident.
