Few storms again Tuesday; tropics remain active

Columbus, Ga (WRBL)- Tracking another warm day for the start of the workweek, plus a few storms this evening. While the majority of us will stay dry, there will be a few sporadic storms through sunset.

A similar pattern is in store for our Tuesday with temperatures in the lower 90s and another round of sporadic storms in the afternoon. We will be watching the Gulf of Mexico tomorrow for what could be our first named storm of the season. Tropical Storm watches are in place along the Texas coast with the storm expected to impact land by Wednesday.

A few pop up showers will be possible for Juneteenth, but overall we will trend drier for the next several days. With the drier weather will come warmer weather. Afternoon highs will soar back into the upper 90s by this weekend with feel like values back in the triple digits.

This weekend, we will be watching the Atlantic for our second tropical system. There is still a lot of uncertainty about if this will strengthen, and what areas along the coast will be impacted. Current projections show we will likely see a few storms late Sunday through midweek.
