FHP: Pensacola woman who allegedly killed cyclist in 2023 found and arrested in Kentucky

A Pensacola woman thought to have killed a bicyclist in 2023 before driving off was arrested in Kentucky on an outstanding Florida Highway Patrol warrant.

Jessica Hendrickson, 41, is the suspect in a June 2023 hit-and-run that left a 61-year-old man dead, according to FHP.

"While traveling southbound on U.S. 41 in Kentucky, a tag alert was issued to law enforcement in the area matching the description of Hendrickson's boyfriend's vehicle," an FHP release said. "Local law enforcement were in the general area and were able to conduct a traffic stop and ultimately arrest Hendrickson."

On June 10, 2023, Hendrickson was traveling eastbound on Sorrento Road where she allegedly failed to see a bicyclist in front of her, leading to her hitting the man and propelling him and his bike into the south shoulder of the road.

Hendrickson will be formally charged once extradited to Escambia County.
