Fire crews battling large brushfire in Antelope Valley

Firefighters were responding to a two-alarm wildfire in Llano, an unincorporated Los Angeles County community in the Antelope Valley, Wednesday.

Crews with L.A. County Fire, Cal Fire and the San Bernardino County Fire Department have deployed resources to the brush fire.

Preliminary reports estimated the vegetation fire, located near 263rd Street E and Pearblossom Highway, to be around 30 acres with the potential to spread rapidly.

In an update provided by L.A. County Fire officials, the blaze was upgraded to 50 acres, though they added that no structures were threatened.

Aerial footage of the fire captured by Sky5 shows a wide swath of charred vegetation with heavy smoke coming from the blaze as crews attempted to douse the flames with a water-dropping helicopter.
