Shortly after 3:30 p.m. Monday, Iowa State Patrol was advised of a stolen semi-truck entering Iowa via Interstate 80 near LeClaire.

Eicke was driving a 2021 Freightliner semi on a public roadway, arrest affidavits say. Eicke “had been fired by the company (West Side Transport) while at their terminal in Glenwood, IL.”

After she was fired, police allege, she returned to the semi and drove away from the terminal. Eicke had been informed the semi was reported stolen but did not return the semi after numerous calls from the company, affidavits show.

Eicke, who was contacted by the company numerous times and refused to stop and return the semi, was stopped nearly 170 miles from the location from which the truck was stolen, according to affidavits.

The value of the semi is well over $10,000, according to affidavits.

Eicke, who was released on her own recognizance, is set for a preliminary hearing July 5 in Scott County Court.
