Flash Flood Warning issued for burn scar near Ruidoso

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Flash Flood Warning on Saturday.

The warning is until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and affects the South Fork Fire burn scar in south-central Lincoln County.

Areas impacted include Eagle Creek, Cedar Creek, Ruidoso Downs, Ruidoso, Alto, Hollywood, and Rio Ruidoso Drainages.

Authorities with the Village of Ruidoso said the following areas need to find higher ground: Upper Canyon, Cedar Creek, Brady Canyon, or near the Rio Ruidoso.

Additionally, there is a Flash Flood Watch issued for several other areas from Sunday afternoon to Sunday night. Some listed places include the Albuquerque Metro, Santa Fe Metro, and Sandia and Manzano Mountains. See more locations by clicking here.
