Blood and shell casings found, but no victims, after Fort Lauderdale shooting: police

Police are investigating reports of a shooting in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday afternoon

Around 1 p.m, calls came in about the gunfire in the 3300 block of West Broward Boulevard, prompting police to shut down the busy roadway.

However, the street about an hour and a half later. In a statement, police said that although they found “evidence of a shooting,” no victims had been located.

That evidence consisted of blood and shell casings, Detective Ali Adamson, a Fort Lauderdale police spokeswoman, told the Herald.

“The investigation remains ongoing, and detectives ask anyone who may have witnessed this shooting or who may have information about the shooting to contact FLPD immediately,” Adamson said.
