Fort Myers man arrested, connected to Saturday fatal armed robbery in North Fort Myers

A Fort Myers man faces charges following his arrest in connection to a fatal armed robbery in North Fort Myers on Saturday.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office on Thursday said deputies with the Special Operations Unit arrested Courtney Parchman, 31, on Wednesday. He faces charges of murder while engaged in a robbery and tampering with evidence.

Parchman was arrested during a search warrant on Riverfield Road in Cape Coral. He remained in custody Thursday morning without bond set.

The sheriff's office said the armed robbery and shooting happened Saturday at the Royal Jacks Arcade, at Pondella and Moody roads, in North Fort Myers.

Parchman is next due in court July 8 for his arraignment.
