Frozen waffle recall expands, impacting more brands and stores. Check the list of products
TreeHouse Foods has expanded its recent voluntary recall to include all of its frozen waffle and pancake products due to the potential of listeria contamination.
On Tuesday, TreeHouse Foods, a major manufacturer of private label food products, said the company was expanding a voluntary recall of its frozen waffle products, originally issued Friday, to include its frozen toaster waffles, Belgian waffles and pancakes.
The products were packed under various names and store brands sold at most retail stores, including but not limited to Acme, Albertson's, Aldi, Amazon, Dollar General, Giant, Target, Trader Joe’s, Walmart and Whole Foods.
According to a press release from TreeHouse Foods, the listeria risk was discovered through routine testing at the manufacturing facility, and the recall was expanded based on additional testing at the manufacturing facility.
TreeHouse Foods also said there have been no confirmed reports of illness linked to the recalled products to date.
As of Tuesday, the CDC did not list any listeria outbreaks linked to TreeHouse Foods or its products.

What are the symptoms of listeria?
Symptoms usually start within the first two weeks of eating contaminated food with Listeria, however it can show up as late at up to 10 weeks later. Symptoms include fever, muscle aches, tiredness, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance or seizures, and is sometimes preceded by gastrointestinal problems such as diarrhea.
Listeria is especially harmful and considered high risk to those that are pregnant, aged 65 years or older or have a compromised immune system.
The CDC estimates listeria is the third leading cause of death from foodborne illness in the U.S.
