Garrettsville Tractor Parade rolls on through heavy rain
Heavy rain Saturday didn't even make participants in the annual Garrettsville Tractor Parade blink, as they headed around the village showing off their farming vehicles. The parade included more than 140 tractors, and served as a tribute to the late Brandon Bailey, who was a longtime participant in the event. A grand showing by his family members and friends was witness to the sorrow over his August 2023 death. The tractor parade happened alongside Garrettsville Summerfest, which had to juggle its schedule to stay ahead of raindrops. But, the fireworks, Garretsville's Got Talent, hot wing eating contest, hamburger eating contest, and a dance competition went forward. So did a cornhole tournament, but it was relocated inside Garrettsville YMCA. For more on the Garrettsville Tractor Parade, check out a gallery at record-courier.com.
