Graniteville man identified as victim in fatal Aiken County ATV wreck on Halloween

The Aiken County Coroner's Office recently identified a man killed in a fatal ATV crash in Graniteville on Halloween morning.

The victim was identified as 46-year-old Jeremy Willetts, of Graniteville, according to the coroner's office.

At 7:40 a.m. Thursday, the coroner's office was called to a wreck involving an ATV on Ascauga Lake Road near Breezy Hill Road, according to previous reporting. The ATV attempted to cross Ascauga Lake Road and pulled into the path of a van, causing the van to entrap the ATV and Willetts beneath it.

Willetts was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:15 a.m., The Chronicle reported. No other injuries were noted.

A toxicology analysis is pending, according to previous reporting. The coroner's office and South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating.
