Heavy rains caused 4 sewer overflows in Prichard, officials say
MOBILE COUNT, Ala. (WKRG) — Authorities are warning residents to take precautions after heavy rains caused a series of sewer overflows in Prichard.

The Prichard Water Works and Sewer Board shared details about four overflows that spilled around 103,000 gallons into two bodies of water.

Following the overflows, which officials say were caused by heavy rains, health officials said, “Area residents should take precautions when using Gum Tree Branch and Chickasaw Creek for recreational purposes because of these overflows.”
