Hendersonville police make arrest following recovered remains of 17-year-old Macon Co. girl

The Hendersonville Police Department have arrested a 17-year-old male on charges of first-degree murder following the recovered remains of a Macon County girl of the same age.

Hendersonville police announced the arrest on Saturday, just a day after identifying the remains of 17-year-old Trinity Bostic. Bostic went missing on June 29, and a Tennessee Department of Transportation subcontract worker found Bostic’s remains along New Shackle Island Road while picking up trash.

The 17-year-old male whom police arrested in connection with Bostic’s death is being held at the Sumner County Detention Center, according to a news release. The news release doesn't identify the male.
