Hidden speakeasy, transformed church among $500K homes for sale in Indiana in July

The lack of inventory in the Indiana housing market has kept prices higher than in recent years throughout 2024, according to market data from the MIBOR Realtor Association.

The median single-family residence in Central Indiana in June cost $320,000, up just slightly from May's median of $315,000, but significantly above June 2021's $250,245. There were 3,328 new single-family residence listings in June this year, down about 300 from May but still more than double what was available as recently as December 2023.

Let's take a look around the state at a few examples of what a buyer in the $500,000 range can find on the market around Indiana in July. And for comparison, here's what the same market looked like this time last year, in the fall of 2023, this winter and this spring.
