High-speed rail project prompts multiple closures in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – As part of the California High-Speed Rail Project, the California High-Speed Rail Authority announced multiple street closures within the City of Fresno until the end of August.

According to officials, those closures will take place in the following areas:

  • Shoulder and sidewalk closures along Dakota Avenue, between Marty and Valentine Avenues.

  • Road closure along Dewey Avenue, south of Dakota Avenue.

  • Road closure along Selland Avenue, south of Dakota Avenue.

  • Shoulder and sidewalk closure along Valentine Ave, between Dakota and Dayton Avenues.

Traffic going north on Dewey Avenue to Dakota Avenue will be detoured east on Robinson Avenue, and then north on Selland Avenue to Dakota Avenue.

Officials also say traffic going north on Selland Avenue to Dakota Avenue will be detoured north on Dewey Avenue to Dakota Avenue.

Officials say work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning July 29 through Aug. 30. They also say construction activities and schedules are subject to change.
