Hundreds attend back-to-school bash in Dickson County ahead of new school year

DICKSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Hundreds attended the annual Dickson County back-to-school bash at the fairgrounds Saturday morning.

Families at the event got to take homes lots of items, which included supplies and essentials for students to start the new academic year.

Multiple vendors were in attendance to offer services and school district leaders were on site handing out information to parents.

The Dickson County Dance Team helped by handing out notebooks, scissors, glue and backpacks. School Resource Officers (SROs) were also there to assist students.

Summer break is winding down fast for students in Dickson County. In fact, the first day of school is scheduled for Thursday, August 1.
