Ice cream recall: Over 60 popular products sold in NY recalled. See the full list
Multiple popular ice cream products sold in New York have been recalled for possible listeria contamination. Totally Cool, Inc., which produces Friendly's, Hershey's, Jeni's and Chipwich ice cream products, announced a recall of 65 products Monday, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The Maryland-based company stopped all production and distribution of the affected products after an FDA sampling discovered the bacteria's presence.
The products have been distributed nationwide and no illnesses have been reported. Totally Cool, Inc. has not immediately responded to a request for comment.

What to know: Soft drink recall affects New York food establishments
Listeria symptoms and high-risk populations
Listeria symptoms can vary but the bacteria is most likely to sicken people who are pregnant and newborns, adults aged 65 and older and people with weakened immune systems, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said. Symptoms can include fever, flu-like symptoms, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, seizures, diarrhea and vomiting.
