THURSDAY: Snow Squalls Exit Near Daybreak, Windy and Cold. Hi 34. Winds W 15-25 mph. Gusts 50 mph.
We are getting some reports of ice pellets this evening, but nothing that is expected to accumulate. As a potent cold front get closer, rain and snow showers will increase over the area overnight. There is also the potential for snow squalls between 2am and 6am Thursday morning. Use caution if traveling overnight.
Rain and snow showers will exit around daybreak Thursday morning as gusty northwesterly winds increase. Winds strengthen to 15-25mph with gusts between 40-50mph for much of Thursday.
Friday will not feature strong winds, but will remain breezy and cold which lingers into Saturday. Our cold stretch comes to an end Sunday as milder air returns and lasts through much of next week. Daytime temperatures will warm near 50 degrees to start next week, and possibly 60 degrees Tuesday! The milder shift will also bring increasing chances for rain for mid-December.
