Injured person in conveyor belt rescued by crews in Lancaster County

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– First responders in Lancaster County rescued a person who was stuck in a conveyor belt Monday.

Crews were called to the 1100 block of South Market Street along the Amtrak tracks just before 1 p.m. for a high-angle rescue, Elizabethtown Fire Department wrote in a Facebook post.

It was reported by Lancaster County Wide Communications that one person was trapped in a conveyor belt.

After arriving at the scene, crews found that the person was not trapped but was confined and they had injuries, the fire department wrote.

Crews were able to rescue the person who was then rushed to the hospital for treatment.
