San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department deputies seized 36 firearms, including seven ghost guns and narcotics, during a weeklong sting operation last month.

According to a media release from SBSD, investigators with the department’s Gangs/Narcotics Division served four search warrants, two in Bloomington, one in Adelanto and a fourth in Victorville between Aug. 24 and Aug. 30 as part of Operation Consequences.

“Over the one-week period, investigators contacted gang members and persons prohibited from possessing firearms,” investigators said, adding that four felony arrests were made.

Additionally, investigators recovered over three-and-a-half pounds of narcotics.

The identities of the arrestees were not disclosed, and “Operation Consequences” is set to continue over the next several months to curb violent crime, dismantle street gangs and arrest criminals who illegally possess, manufacture and sell firearms, the department said.

Law enforcement agencies taking part in the operation include multiple divisions within the sheriff’s department in addition to officials with CHP, the San Bernardino County Probation Department, the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Department of Homeland Security.
