A New Jersey high school teacher who resigned earlier this month amid accusations she engaged in a sexual relationship with one of her teenage students earlier this year has been charged again for allegedly having a sexual relationship with another student in 2017, authorities said.

On Wednesday, July 17, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced that Julie Rizzitello, 36, of Brick Township, has been charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault and one count of third-degree witness tampering for allegedly having a sexual relationship with one of her students.

The alleged sexual relationship between the now former Wall High School English teacher and that student began in 2017, according to the statement.

“On multiple occasions in Brick Township, Rizzitello allegedly engaged in various sexual acts with the second victim,” the statement alleges.

The new charges come a little more than two weeks after Rizzitello was arrested on July 3 and charged with two counts of sexual assault, witness tampering and three counts of criminal sexual contact for allegedly having a sexual relationship with another student that began earlier this year, Monmouth Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago and Wall Township Police Chief Sean O’Halloran announced on July 4.

Rizzitello “allegedly engaged in various sexual acts with the victim” on multiple occasions and in at least three jurisdictions — Belmar, Brick and Wall — the investigation revealed, according to the statement.

Rizzitello and the 18-year-old student allegedly had multiple sexual encounters between April and June 14, according to an affidavit of probable cause obtained by NJ.com.

The two allegedly had a sexual encounter in his car in Brick on May 14, according to the affidavit.

She allegedly sent him nude photos, authorities said, NJ.com reports.

Rizzitello began working for Wall Township Public Schools in 2013, according to public pension records, NJ.com reports.

She resigned shortly before her July 3 arrest, the statement from prosecutors says.
