Interested in teaching? WFISD, iteach to hold informational sessions
Wichita Falls ISD and "iteach" will host two information sessions June 18 to share information about alternative certification programs for people interested in entering the teaching profession.
Both sessions will be held at the Education Center,1104 Broad St. Session 1 will be 3-4 p.m., and Session 2 will be 4- 5 p.m.
The company iteach's alternative certification program can have participants teaching with full pay within eight weeks, according to its website, iteach.net.
The company says the costs of the program in Texas is about $5,000. Part of the program can be completed online, but residency with an approved Texas school district is required.
