Investigation underway after 2 people pronounced dead in Columbus, police say

The Columbus Police Department is investigating after two people were pronounced dead Wednesday in Columbus, CPD said in a social media post.

The police department’s X post stated the investigation is underway in the 5600 block of Winvelly Drive. Winvelly Drive is located near Windsor park in a residential area in northeast Columbus.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said the two pronounced dead were husband and wife and the case is being investigated as a homicide-suicide.
