Ishikwa Rika & Yoshizawa Hitomi's new unit

9 Mar – Dream Morning Musume members Ishikawa Rika and Yoshizawa Hitomi have formed a new unit with the name ABCHO, as a new collaboration between the two singers with a new style of music.

According to Tokyo Hive, this is the second unit that the duo has formed together since they went by the personalities of Hangry and Angry when they created a pop-rock unit, Hangry & Angry-f, back in 2008.

Instead of pop-rock, ABCHO's music style would be more suited towards Anime themes, with their first single "Me wo Tojite Gyusshiyo" already been picked for the upcoming Anime adaptation of "Sengoku Collection" that will begin airing in April.

"I'm very happy to hear that this song will be used as the opening theme for the Anime, "Sengoku Collection". I hope to make this a unit that will have a different worldview than H&A-f. Please continue to support us," said Ishikawa.

Meanwhile, Yoshizawa expressed that she was excited to form the new unit with Ishikawa and she will be singing her first Anime song with a newfound feeling.

"Me wo Tojite Gyusshiyo" would be released under Universal International on 23 May.
