Jang Geun-suk denies dating Japanese model
12 Sept – South Korean actor Jang Geun-suk has denied his rumoured relationship with Japanese model Makimu.
According to Hallyu Wave Zone website, a Japanese media recently claimed that the two were dating and have been seeing each other for about two months, going back and forth between Korea and Osaka.
Upon hearing the rumour, Jang Geun-suk laughed at the absurdity and tweeted to his fans, "Hahaha thank you for the first rumored relationship since my debut! Is that the power of Geun-jjang?". ("Jjang" means "the best").
An official statement from Jang Geun-suk's company stated, "The rumoured relationship with Makimu is not true at all."
They further explained that people might have taken it the wrong way when the actor went to a restaurant with his companions in Japan. His friend's cousin made a reservation, and Makimu just happened to visit the same restaurant out of coincidence.
Representatives stressed that, "The two did not exchange phone numbers. Heck, they didn't even talk to each other."
Makimu is a Japanese-Korean model that is based in Japan. She is the exclusive model of fashion magazine, "EDGE STYLE" and is also known as a singer/actress.
