JetBlue's new nonstop flights between New York and (PBI) West Palm, other Florida cities

Starting in October, JetBlue , the New-York-based airline will begin daily nonstop service from Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) to Orlando and four-time weekly service to Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach (PBI). While JetBlue already flies out of John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), these are the first flights to LI MacArthur (ISP).

According to NBC New York, JetBlue will use its 162-seat Airbus A320 aircraft for the NY-Fl routes.

The news comes a few months after JetBlue announced it was canceling flights between Fort Lauderdale and multiple cities and between Miami International Airport (MIA) and Los Angeles, among several other routes following the collapse of a proposed $3.8 billion merger with Spirit Airlines.

Formerly known as Islip Airport, the Long Island MacArthur Airport is located in Ronkonkoma in the town of Islip on Long Island, New York, about 50 miles outside New York City. MacArthur Airport serves primarily the three million residents of Nassau and Suffolk counties.

"In addition, the airport serves travelers from the Greater New York Metropolitan Area and around the nation who want a more convenient alternative to the congestion at JFK and LaGuardia airports – both located in Queens," according to the airport's website.

When is JetBlue flying between Long Island MacArthur Airport and Palm Beach International Airport (PBI)?

Beginning Oct. 24, flights will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays:

  • Palm Beach to Islip: 10:55 a.m. to 1:55 p.m.

  • Islip to Palm Beach: 2:40 p.m. to 5:40 p.m.

When is JetBlue flying between Long Island MacArthur Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL)?

Beginning Oct. 25, flights will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays:

  • Fort Lauderdale to Islip: 8:35 to 11:35 a.m.

  • Islip to Fort Lauderdale: 12:20 p.m. to 3:20 p.m.

How do I get JetBlue's $49 one-way tickets?

The limited-time $49 one-way tickets are from New York to Florida destinations and must be booked by June 13 on the JetBlue website for travel between Oct. 24 and Dec. 18, 2024. Blackout dates from Nov. 26 to Dec. 2 apply.

The special price fare is not available for travel on Friday or Sunday.
