Joint city, hospital meeting set on emergency services

Jul. 15—The Odessa City Council and Ector County Hospital District Board will meet in joint session at 5:30 p.m. July 17 in the J'Nevelyn and Larry Melton Conference Center at Texas Tech University Health Science Center, 801 W. Fourth St., Odessa.

After an executive session, the city will consider to take possible action on a memorandum of understanding with the Ector County Hospital District that the hospital district will compensate the City of Odessa as provided in the memorandum of understanding for fire and emergency medical services for the duration of the memorandum of understanding.

They will also consider signing a letter of intent with Ector County to enter into an updated memorandum of understanding to provide emergency services in unincorporated areas of Ector County.

Also, the City Council of the City of Odessa will meet at 8 a.m. July 16 at MCM Elegante Hotel, Caribbean Ballroom 1, 5200 E. University, Odessa to review a draft of fiscal year 2024-25 City of Odessa Budget.

They will also consider allocation of $25,000,000 for the city-wide valve and line replacement project from the Pioneer Natural Resources, USA, Inc. and the Certificates of Obligation, series 2021.

There will also be an update on inspections Department 5; and an update on planning and zoning department.
